Associquim Sincoquim organizes conference to mark its 60th anniversary

On 9 & 10 March a chemical conference was organized by ICTA member Associquim Sincoquim, the Brazilian chemical distribution association. The event marked the 60th anniversary of the association.

ICTA was represented by Robert Stuyt. A key topic during the event concerned to regulatory issues in the digital business environment. Globalization was another key topic. During his presentation Robert Stuyt combined both topics by discussing the role of digitalization in globalization. ICTA board member Peter Newport was also present in Brazil and presented on behalf of CBA about regulatory issues in the digital business environment.

After the conference, Robert Stuyt visited the offices of Associquim and the offices of direct ICTA company members Brenntag and Univar to update them on ICTA’s activities and to gain a deeper understanding of the dynamics of the Latin American markets.

ICTA visits India to solidify and expand its local network

In order to continue to build up its network, ICTA has attended the India Chemical Outlook Conference on 13 & 14 February 2020. Key topics on the agenda were environmental sustainability and climate change. Added to this was the issue of trade flow restrictions, although Covid-19 was at that time not yet a key concern.

ICTA’s new member Rishichem invited Robert Stuyt for a mutual introduction and to discuss the opportunities and challenges of the Indian market.
